FHV Ag Rapid Quantitative Test
Feline herpesvirus (FHV-1) is a large virus (100~130nm in diameter) with envelope and double stranded DNA. It proliferates in the nucleus and forms an intranuclear inclusion body, which can cause cat rhinotracheitis, conjunctivitis and keratitis. Feline herpesvirus is extremely unstable in acid, and is very sensitive to heat, ether, chloroform, formalin and phenol. It can survive in a dry environment for no more than 12 hours. Therefore, the virus is very fragile in the environment, and ordinary disinfectants can effectively disinfect it.
